Powder Coating Explained

Powder coating is an advanced method of applying a decorative and protective finish to a wide range of products used in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors. Virtually any component and any material can lend itself to powder coating, including: metal, aluminum, composites, wood, plastic, glass, and ceramic. The powder used for the process is a mixture of finely ground particles comprised of pigments and resin. The electrically charged mixture is evenly sprayed onto the grounded surfaces of your railings, stairs, and other components. Heated in a curing oven, the powder forms an attractive smooth coating that is capable of withstanding the outdoor elements as well as day-to-day use.
